• With the new dashboard panel theme introduced in 3.8, there is no longer an indication (bold font) for a selected permalink category.

I also believe that on the posts page the font won’t be red anymore if no permalink has been selected.

I would be really thankful if you could fix this, right now there is no way to tell which category that has been selected as permalink category 🙂

    Hello Vikestart,

I don’t think there is any problem with 3.8. I still get the red when no category is selected and the selected categories are in bold everywhere else. Are you using a specific font for your admin?

No, but it seems like there was a problem with this plugin:

As soon as I deactivated that one, things seems to be okay in the posts section. I see the bold font there now. 🙂

However, I do not see the bold font on the edit page, in the categories box. Only when selecting the permalink, but not when reloading the page. Is that intentional?

Not intentional, actually I see it when the post is just loaded… Do you have any Javascript error?
