problem with the widgets
-
hi everyone…
I really like the autofucus theme, but i have some problems with the widgets, i don’t know how can show them, i go to the widgets, and activate the categories and search, and the options don’t show.
And I need this option.

If you drag a widget to a sidebar it should display the available options automatically. If it doesn’t do that you can open the options pane of a particular widget in a sidebar by clicking on the little arrow to the right of the widget’s title.
Hi chschenk,
I did that.. but it doesn’t work, i can see the categories on the page http://www.fernandez.co.cr the category widget is on the sidebar 1…
sorry for the last comment…
the correct text is…i can’t see the categories on the page http://www.fernandez.co.cr… and the category widget is on the sidebar 1
Go to your widgets screen and then at the upper-right, click “Screen Options”. Then at the upper-left, click “Enable accessability mode”. Then add the widgets again and see if that helps.
tks to chschenk, and figaro, i did that you told me.. but it doesn’t work, someone know about other theme to photographers similar to this, that the categories works!!!!
I really like the autofocus theme, but i don’t know what happend.. and i put the lastest version, write to the creator (he doesn’t respond me)
tks a lot for all
The sidebars are only visible if you change the default template of your page. I’ll quote the author’s instructions here:
Sidebar
The sidebar for this theme is included as a template for use on an ‘Archives’ page. To activate the sidebar, create a page called ‘Archives’ for example and select the Archives Page Template. This template pulls in the 2 sidebars that sit right on top of each other.
Hopefully this helps

tks a lot maestro_illuminist .. thats works pretty cool… i’m really appreciate your help
It seems to me that the Autofocus theme is not really a CMS friendly theme. My website uses the theme switcher and I need all pages on my website to be able to show the same content no matter what theme website users have selected in the theme switcher menu. I just don’t see how the Auto focus theme would work well as a CMS friendly theme without some manual tweaking. Would my site’s page templates stay applied even if a user changes the theme with a theme switcher in the sidebar?
