I’m still having an issue with the theme I’m using – Interface from Theme Horse. I removed W3TC because it didn’t like it when I compressed the css/js.
To use this theme I have to disable the compression option in the plugin (but obviously increasing the number of calls). If I enable the option all login forms turn invisible (but appear to have loaded). It also breaks the loading of the slider. Has anyone else come across this issue?

    Hi!

Is it a free / paid theme?

Does it work fine when you disable UM minfiy css/js?

    Thanks!

Yes, it’s the free one (!). The forms work fine when I disable the UM minify settings, although I can’t get their theme slider working properly (amongst other things).

I’m going to install this plugin and let you know if I am able to sort the issues/conflicts.

    Thank you!

Thanks for this! I assume that there’s no problem with other themes when the css js is optimised?

Should not cause an issue unless there is a js conflict, which we’ll try to find out soon using that theme.

    Thanks!

Hi there. I have just installed the theme interface – by theme horse and the forms appear fine when UM minifcation is on. Can you please double check? Are you using their latest version?

Ok thanks for looking. I’m definitely using the latest version and UM minification makes the forms invisible. I have a copy of the theme (unmodified) – if I change my updated theme back to the original (just to test) would it screw up any of the work I’ve done already?

Yes. I ask because I downloaded the theme from repo, and activated it and all forms were fine. Would you mind trying another install of the theme? Or check if it is one of the plugins, and not the theme?

Ok, think I’ve got it sorted! I changed my modified Interface theme back to the original version and everything works, including sliders that failed to work previously.

I went through everything on the modified theme to see if I could pinpoint the issue, and the only thing I can see that broke it was actually changing the name (folder name). Never seen that before – I’m guessing that somewhere in there its looking for the name of the theme?

Yes, must be! Some themes (unluckily) depend on solid theme names in their functions, so changing the theme name might break things. I am happy you’ve found the culprit! Thanks for keeping me posted
