Problem with thirstyaffiliate links (redirection)

    Hi,

    This is a previous issue that disappeared a few months ago, and is now back

    I use Maxbuttons pro and thirsty affiliate links module (pro too).

    When I use Thirstyaffiliate links in buttons and want to open it in a new tab (parameter set in Thirstyaffiliate plugin by default) :

    • yes it opens the new page in a new tab, as wanted
    • but it also redirects the current page (the one with the link) to the thirstyaffiliate link!

    It’s only the case with Thirstyaffiliate links

    But if i use a direct link, I don’t have the issue.

    And if I use another button plugin, I don’t have this issue too (but i love maxbuttons so I don’t want to change)

    You can try this on the provided page, with the big button “Réservez vos entrées pour le Poema del mar” in the aquarium section, you’ll see what happens to the main page redirection.

    Hi,

    The link on the button is just the HREF to the target page? In a recent update we had to disable javascript processing due to security reasons, can this be the problem?

    Otherwise try to turn off the logging by the link manager ( Maxbuttons – link manager – settings ) . Perhaps it’s interfering?

    Thanks a lot for your answer, I confirm the solution “disabling logging by the link manager” works perfectly 🙂 Now the main page is not redirected to the target page, only the new tab.
