    Hello,
We are using Ultimate FAQ for our website and we really like it.

    There is 1 issue.

Let’s say someone does a keyword search for the words:
    “initial Natal Study nearly 40”

That gives this search on Google that hits a result from our FAQ:
    https://www.google.com/search?q=%22initial+Natal+Study+nearly+40%22&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
This gives a single result linking to our FAQ:
    The link google gives is:
    https://edgetac.com/faq/

First of all, since this page has a permalink, I would think Google would be linking to the Permalink, but it’s not, it’s linking only to the generic general FAQ page.

Obviously the problem is then, if someone opens that page from the search result, it is not clear where the keywords are that they put in the search engine since there are other FAQs and the answers are hidden. We can’t have all the answers open because there are many FAQs on the page.

How should this problem be solved so that Google links the permalinked page? Meaning, essentially that someone searching on google that finds one of our FAQ responses, gets a link to the individual FAQ with the information they want, and not our generic FAQ page?

Basically, we are asking, as the developers of this plugin, what is the expected behavior for Ultimate FAQ in search engine results? Or can you point us to a link of someone actually using Ultimate FAQ so we can see how their FAQ pages appear on Google?

Google is not indexing any of the permalinked pages in your demo either, for example, if you search by
“place a dime” “with the neighbouring tread”
on Google, which should pick up this page:
    https://www.etoilewebdesign.com/ultimate-faq-demo/single-faq/how-do-i-check-the-tread-depth-of-my-tires/
But it’s not picking it up.
You can say “oh I don’t help with SEO” but this is an issue.

https://www.etoilewebdesign.com/ultimate-faq-demo/single-faq/how-do-i-check-the-tread-depth-of-my-tires/ is not a separate page. It is a URL that links to the main FAQ page with the chosen FAQ pre-opened.

And Google is indexing our permalink pages. See the following screenshot for reference:

As for the permalink/single post pages, these are literally just regular WordPress permalink/single post pages. We use a post type for the FAQs, so these pages are exactly the same as the permalink page for regular posts in WordPress. We don’t add anything in that would prevent them from being indexed…

For example, one of your permalink pages is: https://edgetac.com/ufaq/if-heavy-broadheads-and-heavy-arrows-are-so-great-why-arent-big-broadhead-manufacturers-pushing-them/. This is a regular WordPress single post page.

If you would like this page to be indexed ahead of your main FAQ page for a specific keyword, then you would need to work on your SEO to make that happen. I understand that you’re frustrated, but I’m not sure how you could think it would be the job of the plugin to do this kind of SEOing for you.

Also, are you sure you don’t have any plugin or entry in your robots.txt file that is preventing these single post pages from being crawled/indexed?
