Problem with Woocommerce orders

Since upgrading my site, all orders placed between April 1st and April 27th have disappeared. Additionally, the order numbers have been altered, with previous numbers like 13150 now showing as 13033, and so forth. It appears that a new numbering system for orders has been implemented. Can you explain why this has occurred?
This issue has caused a major headache because I have an automated integration with Tripletex. The new orders are using old order numbers, leading to duplication errors and preventing the orders from being transferred.

This is indeed unusual and not expected behaviour. This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin. The best way to determine this is to:
- Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront or Twenty Twenty-Four
- Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
- Repeat the action that is causing the problem
If you don’t see the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. Additionally, please can you share a copy of the following:
- System Status Report: Navigate to WooCommerce → Status. Select Get System Report and then Download for Support.
- Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.

And were you able to see those orders on the Staging site before importing?

It is possible to import orders to the site by using a plugin such as Import Export Suite for WooCommerce.
The issue is that to do that, you would need to have access to the orders, which, as I understand you don’t, right?
From what I understand, those orders were not on the staging site and when you imported the staging site to the live site it overwrote the orders, and that’s why they are missing.
If you have a backup from when the orders still showed, you would be able to get them back. But without it, it is not possible to get them back after overwriting them. If you have a backup, let us know and we will assist you further in solving this 🙂

The orders have disappeared from WooCommerce, and I don’t have a copy of the original site with the missing orders. However, I do have the missing orders on an app called Webshipper.
Is it possible to manually add these paid orders into WooCommerce? This would allow me to recreate the missing orders manually, which will take some time but could work. The main issue is that I have an integration with Tripletex that requires these missing orders for accurate accounting.

Yes, you can manually add the orders into WooCommerce. To do this, navigate to WooCommerce > Orders > Add Order and fill in the customer details and items ordered.
The main issue is that I have an integration with Tripletex that requires these missing orders for accurate accounting.
Manually adding orders will not necessarily place them in the original sequence. WooCommerce assigns order numbers sequentially as they are created. If you need the orders to appear in a specific sequence, you might need to use a Sequential Order Numbers plugin or hire a developer to write some custom code to change the order number as needed.
