    Hello; and thanks for posting.

    <p> tags are removed from the content when switching editor views or saving. This is a default WordPress behavior.

    You can keep the <p> tag by adding a “dummy” class; such as <p class="dummy">. This will retain the <p> tag when saving or switching editor views.
