Problem with Zotpress cache table wp_zotpress_cache
-
Hi,
My website OPK (http://opistobranquis.info/en) was blocked by the ISP because they say we abused their shared database system by exceeding the contractual limit of 1Gb. There were two plugins involved in the issue. Zotpress cache table wp_zotpress_cache alone was using 500Mb+ of the WordPress database. I had to delete the contents of this table to restore the website to a functional status. I could not use the Zotpress “Clear cache” option because the website was not functional at that point.
My question is: is there a way to reduce the use of the database without reducing functionality? My feelings are that the cache database stores information in XML format and uncompressed, not the most efficient way. Could this be improved? Or must I check the website Zotpress cache size from time to time to judge if I must clear it manually?
Thanks for a beautiful product working just fine, but for this “glitch”.
