• Hi There,

I think I’m not the only one currently experiencing issues after installing WP 7.0.

At this point, I’m feeling it in the block editor, which only appears in a very rudimentary editing mode (no block options at all), and in Mail poet, which won’t show emails or subscribers due to a “permalink” issue.

The “Read this first! WordPress 7.0 – Troubleshooting” is kind of useless. There is, for example, no “Visual Editor” button that could help with the presentation mode (as far as my research, this button was eliminated in version 6.8 🤷‍♀️).

I’m grateful for any help how to solve these issues quickly.

    Many thanks!

I’m a little surprised by your editor’s display. Could you please show me a screenshot of it? See: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/forum-user-guide/block-editor/#adding-screenshots

Please share with me screen shot . i will review

This is the view in the post without using an additional block editor (before 7.0 I did not use an editor).

You’re definitely using the Block Editor. I’m not sure exactly how your content should look, since I’m not familiar with your website. However, the styling is determined by the theme you’re using. It might not be compatible with WordPress 7.0 yet. Which theme are you using?

By the way, you should post your question about the Mail Poet plugin on their support forum: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/mailpoet/ – they know the plugin’s features best.

I’m using a variation of Minnow Version: 1.0.5 By Automattic.

“czirp czirp Version: 0.1 By Laz Minnow Child Theme This is a child theme of Minnow.”

It’s a very clear design, and has covered our needs in the past 15 years. I’d be saddened to have to change it now, and actually, I don’t have the capacities to redesign my website right now.

Minnow itself was last updated 11 years ago. It’s highly likely that it’s not compatible with WordPress. And yes, switching themes would solve your display issue – but you can also ignore it for now, since it only affects your view in the editor. However, given the age of the theme, it’s only a matter of time before other problems arise, such as incompatibility with the PHP version you’re using.
