I just set up the Amazon Cloudfront CDN and Amazon S3 storage through W3 Total Cache plugin on my WordPress site that hosts my podcast show notes. After configuring W3 Total Cache, I had it push my files to Amazon S3. All of the files uploaded successfully. However, now I do not have the PowerPress podcast player on my site. The episode .mp3 file can still download from the download link (below the phantom podcast player). I noticed the player was missing when looking at the site in Safari on my ipod touch. On my computer, I can still see the podcast player (although the play/pause button is missing), but I think this is because I told W3 Total Cache not to give cached pages to me, the administrator.

Have I broken a path to the player? How do I fix it? Do I need to remove some files from Amazon S3 storage (for the CDN to draw on), or do I need to add PowerPress player files to Amazon S3?

I am also missing my background image. The browser keeps trying to bring it in for a long time but is unsuccessful.

When I later tried to log in to my self hosted WordPress site, it said “Too many failed login attempts. Please try again in 20 minutes.” However, I had not failed at any login attempts!

    Any suggestions?

    Two 403 Errors:
Without changing anything, my WP Admin login is now fine, and the PowerPress player now shows up on my posts in FireFox and Chrome on my computer, but on my iPod Touch, it is still not available. Also, on computer browsers, I am still missing the “Play/Pause” button on the player. After doing some speed tests to determine where the blocking was occurring, I think that “mycloud.my-domain-name.com/wp-includes/js/mediaelement/controls.svg” is being called by jquery, but the speedtest shows a 403 error. I think this must be the missing “Play/Pause” button. How can I upload this single file to my S3 bucket?

I have another 403 error in mailchimp. It cannot find “datepicker.js.gzip”.

    Slow page initiation:
Using “webpagetest.org” showing results for a user in Hong Kong, China, I found that I have a slow page initiation while it checks my location. It finds location: Denver CO because I got my domain name through GoDaddy. Time to First Bite: 22455 ms! However, my site is hosted in Singapore. Is there any way to improve this. Most of my site users are in Asia.

Which files should not be on the CDN?
I use “backup WP” and “WordPress SEO” plugins on my site. Should these files be on the CDN or not? If not, how do I remove them from Amazon S3 bucket and block them from being pushed again by W3 Total Cache? Which kinds of plugins do you recommend be blocked from the CDN?

    BG-image not loading:
My background image is still not loading. It will load on my home page, which is the intros to the 10 most recent posts, but if I click on one of those posts, it will not load on the page for that individual post. This behavior seems strange, as it should already be cached on my browser from coming in on the first page I visited. The browser keeps trying to retrieve it endlessly, but cannot. I am afraid this is going to affect bandwidth and HTTP requests on Amazon Web Services. Could you recommend a way to troubleshoot this?
