• Hi,

    I installed Age Gate because I’m in need of an age verification für my site. I tested the plugin but wasn’t happy with it. So I uninstalled it.

    But now after uninstall the plugin, the age verification-question is still active on my site. How is that possible?

    I don’t know how to get rid off it. I tried to install and uninstall it again. That didn’t work either. Then I used a backup to reset all my plugins. The backup worked ( I know it because I had to do some updates for plugins that I had done already) but the age verification question is still on my site.

    I’m a little desperate. What can I do to get rid off this age verification?

    Sorry it’s not to your liking. Be good to know what you found you didn’t like.

    As for your uninstall issue; looking at the source code of your site I see

    You’ll need to clear the cache now to remove the age gate form as your cache has taken a copy with it present.

    Incidentally, there is a Javascript version of the plugin found under the advanced tab to work with caching.

    So I understand you right that Cachify is the problem here?

    The settings for Cachify are that the cache is valid for 12 hours. So…after 12 hours my problem should be fixed automatically?

    It should do, though there’s normally a way to do it manually. Their docs say there’s a button in the admin toolbar.

    Hmmm, I can’t find a button to clear the cache.

    But if all I have to do to solve the problem is to wait 12 hours, I’m fine with that.
