Hey @hiwebco,
Sorry for the trouble here! I’m happy to help you out as best I can here, though I would suggest opening a separate thread for each question if the conversation starts to get a little tough to follow.
1- After updating, I am not able to import anything at all
Are you using The Events Calendar 4.3.1.1? I tested the Events > Import screen using hte latest version and it appears that the dropdown does indeed work and allow you to import events with a CSV file, with additional options you can unlock by purchasing Event Aggregator. Here is a screenshot of what I see.
2- Also I have a problem, when I choose Full style + Def page template = the “view 22 more ..” shows above each other and I can’t read that line at all (I have 2 widgets columns in that page too)
That sounds like a conflict with the theme styles, to be honest. The Tribe Styles display setting is the most opinionated option in the sense that it attempts to reduce the number of possible display issues that might arise from interacting with a theme’s stylesheets. Both the Full Styles and Skeleton Style settings are way less opinionated and let the theme have more of a say in how things are rendered.
As a test, I’d suggest activating the default WordPress Twenty Sixteen theme and see if you run into the same layout issue. That will let us know if there is a bug in the plugin’s stylesheets that needs to be addressed or whether something needs to be tweaked on your end to make the theme and plugin complement one another better.
3- How can I set CSS to show normal white background to past events?
You can either write the CSS directly in your theme’s stylesheet, override the plugin’s stylesheets with you own version, or use a plugin like Simple Custom CSS to override the existing styles.
Cheers!
Geoff
Hello geoffgraham
Yes, I am using 4.3.1.1 and when I click on Import option, this page opens up:
http://www.example.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=tribe_events&page=aggregator
when I try to select an origin from dropdown menu, it directly fade away and a blank search box opens up and can’t choose anything
see prnt scrn plz:

P.S I tried deleting and re-installing the plugin but it didn’t work

After many try & error on different sites with the same theme, I figured out the issue happens only when I am using the theme in RTL right to left,
do u have any solution ?
I guess this is the key to all my questions.. help?
Hi. If I’m understanding your issue correctly, your theme has a RTL setting and when that’s activated, your wp-admin area’s event importing (via CSV files) does not work.
I’m not sure why your theme would add styling to your wp-admin area like this, but you should ask them about this conflict.
We do not provide support for non-default WordPress themes (like Twenty Sixteen).
Thank you.
Greetings,
yes u seem to understand the issue well man, but this happens even in wordpress themes with RTL
RTL is used in right to left languages sites, so it’s not just my theme affected all themes even those default when used in different language will gave same error
So, the compliance with RTL sites should be made by u, it was working great in 4.3.3.0 and screwed up in 4.3.3.1 and 2.. if u can customize it to work with RTL I will be grateful or tell me what code or diles should be inspected

Final UPDATE:
after thorough investigation, it looks like ur plugin The Events Calendar has real problems with RTL and it’s no more compatible with it
things have been fixed after reviewing files in src and resources, please make sure to solve this in ur next releases

Hey @hiwebco
Thank you for doing an in-depth analysis of this.
Based on that, I would like to investigate this further.
Are you able to tell me how you are accomplishing RTL support on your installs ? (plugin ? theme ? snippet ?)
My goal is to try to reproduce an environment similar to yours.
If you are up for it, I would totally love to bring your changes to Dev to see what can be done). Perhaps a .zip file via a Dropbox link could work.
Best regards,
Geoff B.
