Hi! I am also having problems after the latest WP update:
The plugin cannot be activated.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /…/wp-content/plugins/Adminimize-master/adminimize.php on line 383
I had the standard version installed without any customizations. I had to deactivate the plugin in order to access the site at all again (frontend and backend). The dev version does not solve the issue.
Thank you for any help with this.
please can you also try the current dev version – https://github.com/bueltge/Adminimize/archive/master.zip
I will release this in view days, but I need more feedback.
Hello Frank – thank you for the reply. I downloaded the dev version but I was still not able to install it. Error message:
The Plugin cannot be activated.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /…/wp-content/plugins/Adminimize-master/adminimize.php on line 383
If there is more feedback that would be helpful please let me know. I am happy to help.
Have you removed the “old” Adminimize installation? You can also overwrite per copy all files in the current adminimize-directory.
Frank, I’ve started having the same issues using the dev version 1.11.4. I’m not sure why this would start happening again, but when I hide certain menu items with Adminimize, other items I want hidden appear again.
And, when on the Adminimize settings screen, not all of the menu items appear as they’re supposed to.
Are you going to have an official update soon?
I have change this problem, I will push this in the next days.
But it is only an topic on to old php version, smaller 5.3 – crazy. You should switch your php versions, maybe you should speak with your provider.
Now that I removed the old version / replaced it with the new dev files it seems to work. Thank you.
