    Hi,

I am having trouble logging in to my WordPress dashboard for this site and I am having to go in via my host’s C-Panel. When I put in the authenticator app code, I just get sent back to the login page. No error message. It seems to be an issue with 2FA not the Cloudflare turnstile, as when I turn off 2FA all works well. I deleted the 2FA and set it up again and it worked for a couple of days and now it’s sending me round in circles again.

I can see these failed login attempts in WordFence, but not why they have failed.

I expect I have altered a setting somewhere that has caused this issue, but I have no idea what or where! Please can you help.

    Kind regards,

    Emily

Hi @etellwright, thanks for reaching out.

There are a number of JavaScript errors and warnings on the login page, mostly related to Content Security Policy by the looks of it. It doesn’t appear like our file is being flagged in any of those and looks like it is being loaded as you’d expect with our Login Security features being enabled. It could still be a conflict preventing the 2FA input box from loading.

Ensuring the 2FA input box appears when Wordfence is the only enabled plugin (possibly with a default WordPress theme too) and enabling your other plugins and usual theme one-by-one is still the best test for finding the cause. We do have some known conflicts in our documentation, which could help narrow it down for you.

If the above doesn’t seem to point to the cause, it’d help us to see a diagnostic report from your site. You can send that to wftest @ wordfence . com from the top of the Wordfence Tools > Diagnostics page. Click on “Send Report by Email”.

Please add your forum username where indicated and respond here if you do send one as the inbox is unmonitored.

    Many thanks,
    Peter.

    Hi,

Thanks for the advice. I should have thought of some of it myself to be honest but sometimes when you are trying to do a million things a pointer from someone knowledgeable is just what you need! So your reply was very welcome thank you.

I’ve resolved the issue now. Thanks again.
