I’m using this plugin for years now on multiple websites. since a few months I have problems logging in. I have the ‘rename login page’ enabled and on some websites also the honeypot function.

I get to types of errors:
1’ERROR: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.’ error.
2. I fill in username/password, click on login and it just clears out the filled in username/password and gives no error at all.

The cookie error sometimes is user bound, one user gets it but the other does not.. Also sometimes it gives the error but i’m logged in when i got back to the homepage for example.

The second problem is more annoying though and the only solution is using ftp to turn of this plugin. That solves the problem.

Hi,
Do you use a caching plugin of some kind?
Although most caching plugins will never cache the standard wp-login.php page, however if you renamed your login page then you will need to exclude that from being cached.

On most websites i now use a caching plugin, but if I recall correctly this problem already occurred before i began using it. But i will check it out and then reply the outcome.

on 4 of the websites it looks like the caching plugin indeed was the culprit. But there is one website (the one with error type 2 and solution 2) that uses no caching plugin. I will ask the theme creators if they have a solution.

For the second issue one way to confirm if the theme or something else is the cause is to do a few simple conflict tests:
1) revert to a standard well coded theme, eg, twentyseventeen, and do a test

2) deactivate plugins and test during each step.

1. I revered to the standard theme and i got the same problems.

2. It only works if I deactivate the All In One WP Security & Firewall plugin or… what i think might be the problem… deactivate the Login Whitelist function.
