problems to update product

Hello! Is it possible to update products with unique supplier numbers? This unique number is not an article and should not be visible. Here is an example of how I set update options:
– in step 4, I select “Unique Identifier” = a unique vendor number.
– select “Create new Products from records newly present in your file”.
The product is created.
When you try to update by this number, the update does not occur.

If you update by SKU or title, then there is no problem.
