    After translating a plugin, you have to generate the PO file, and email it to the author of the plugin you are translating. They will then release it with the next update of the plugin, hopefully.

    If you want to see the effect of your translation, you will have to generate an MO file out of the PO file by running the msgfmt command. You will then have to figure out the file-naming convention the plugin author used, and rename and upload the MO file to your blog server.
