Problems Upgrading

    I am trying to upgrade wordpress automatically, and get the following error:

    Downloading update from http://ww.wp.xz.cn/wordpress-2.9.2.zip.

    Unpacking the update.

    Could not copy files.

    Installation Failed

    This isnt my server, so before i actually go to the server guys and ask them about this i wondered if there is anything i can do my end / something ive done wrong or if it is a specific server problem i can point out to them?

    ps – i am using 2.9.1 and wanting to upgrade to 2.9.2.

    when upgrading plugins i get a similar issue when trying to update automatically:

    Downloading update from http://downloads.wp.xz.cn/plugin/%5Bplugin zip file]

    Unpacking the update.

    Installing the latest version.

    Deactivating the plugin.

    Removing the old version of the plugin.

    Could not remove the old plugin.

    Plugin upgrade Failed.

    chances are…it may be a permissions problem….which would really require server access
