@nadinenp
(If you don’t mind below I have sorted the Advanced settings in the order as one would see the metaboxes presented in the Advanced tab. And I’ve also adopted the metaboxes names).
- Admin User
Ticking the Enable Change Admin User checkbox will only present you with an input field to enter a new user name if the “admin” user name exists.
Otherwise it will only present the Change User ID 1 checkbox to change the user id 1 into something else.
If there is no “admin” user and no user ID 1 there is nothing to do for this feature. So there will not be any Enable Change Admin User checkbox displayed.
- WordPress Salts
Ticking the Change WordPress Salts checkbox will never present you any other input or checkboxes.
The iTSec plugin will always generate random salts for you.
- Change Database Prefix
Ticking the Change Table Prefix checkbox will also never present you any other input or checkboxes.
The iTSec plugin will always generate a random prefix for you.

Hello Dwinden,
Thank you for your reply and sorry for not being able to contact you earlier.
You are saying …”Otherwise it will only present the Change User ID 1 checkbox to change the user id 1 into something else“.
The problem is that it doesn’t present me with The Change User ID 1 checkbox to change the user ID 1 into something else. This is the problem. It allows me to do so in your previous versions of your software that I installed earlier on my other websites.
It works there, but it doesnt work in your new version. It looks like I can not do much about. I also thought it is not secure when it doesnt’ allow you to modify an ending after the website url address (instead of… /wp-admin)….
If you can’t suggest anything else, then I will just hope that my website is safe…
Kind regards,
Nadine
Hi Nadine,
Normally when you tick the Enable Change Admin User checkbox the Change User ID 1 checkbox is displayed right underneath it.
If that does not work (perhaps even for multiple settings) it might be a javascript\jquery issue specific for that env.
Check for any errors in the browser javascript console.
If possible provide me with a screenshot that clearly shows:
- The Admin User metabox in the Advanced tab\page
- Any error in the browser javascript console
… and I’m sure we can figure out what’s going on.
