I can confirm the same issue on my install as well. The upload seems to be recorded in the database but the actual file gets dropped and permissions to download gets set to deny all. For clarification on which download manager – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/download-manager/ . I have since removed this pluggin and seeking an alternate but given it’s pushing 1 million downloads it would be a good plugin to be compatible with.
I am also having similar issues as listed above.
The thread on WPDownloadManager’s support forum has hit a wall, hoping that there may be a fix appearing here soon.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. The gent in charge of our development is going to be reaching out to Download Manager to see if they would want to work with us on a solution. We certainly don’t want you to have to switch Download managers like Bryan!
Of course, it takes a little bit of time for that to happen, for the code to be written, and then sometimes both us and the other dev will need to release an update to the respective plugins.

Thumbs up to Modern Tribe for taking the request into consideration. I have indeed found a suitable alternative download manager that works just fine with Events Calendar so all is good on my site-in-progress. Not sure if it’s apropriate to post the link so I will await approval from Modern Tribe folks to say okay before passing along the recommendation for a compatible download plugin.
You can feel free to post a link Bryan. Thanks! Again though, we do not want you to switch to download managers unless that works best for you. We are reaching out to Download Manager and hope we can resolve the conflict. But, if in the mean time you need a solution other than not upgrading, then you might need to look elsewhere.

Thanks Brook. I switched over to WP-Filebase as a download manager and everything seems to be fine with Events Calendar.
Just wanted to update you guys since I am beginning my weekly pass. I ended up reaching out to Download Manager because our manager was unable to this week. I will let you know when I hear back from them and we can move forward. Thanks!
