Problems with Embedded / External Codes
-
External Codes / Embeded like Rating Plugins do not work in my site promomasters.at. Example is ProvenExpert but I also do have problems with other Embeded Code as well. Why isn’t there something like a “Box” where I can put in whatever I like.
The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hi @kohlfuerst
Thanks for reaching out. Is there a particular example of embedded or external code I can test with? If you have a moment to share an example with us, or point us to external code, we’d be happy to test.
If you would ever like to paste a block of code on the ww.wp.xz.cn forums, https://pastebin.com/ is one of the recommended methods.
Thanks again.
Hi Andrew,
I hope I did everything allright.
https://www.promomasters.at/kontakt/promomasters/ includes the Code
https://pastebin.com/GBxQscQm which is not shown at all
And the page
https://www.promomasters.at/newsletter/ includes the Code
https://pastebin.com/eZctXPee which is only partly shown but it should look like http://news.promomasters.at/f/65883-134518/
Using those codes in other pages not using Page Builder by SiteOrigin works.
Thanks, Michael
Thanks, Michael
Hi Michael. Awesome, thanks for the effort here. I’ll get testing and reply to you ASAP with the results and some feedback on the challenge.
Do you need access?
Sorry for the delay in my reply. I haven’t had a chance to take a look just yet but will reply as soon as I have. Thanks again for the effort.
Hi Michael. I can get this code to display in Page Builder using the Custom HTML widget OR the Text widget (using the Text tab within the Text widget). I also tested in the Text tab of the SiteOrigin Editor widget and that seemed ok too.
Have you tried this code in the Custom HTML widget? If not, please, give it a try. If it doesn’t work, please, can you explain to me where on the page you’ve inserted it?
Thanks π
YES – I can insert TITLE and REL – but only by hand. But I took a look into other WordPress Installations too which do not use Page Builder and theya do have the same “Problem”. So it seems, that this is not “Page Builder” related – it seems WordPress related. I have to search for a standard intsallation of WordPress to make that clear for me.
The Google Quality Team has the opinion that everybody can set this signals over the CMS (not manualy).
You can perhaps try: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/title-and-nofollow-for-links/.
See: http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-nofollow-all-external-links-in-wordpress/
I tested the plugin now and all seems to work normally.
Thanks a lot Andrew – so this should be a task for the WordPress Community. Michael
For sure π
Indeed, it would be a question for the core team.
This looks to be the trac ticket relating to this issue, scroll down to see the progress: https://core.trac.ww.wp.xz.cn/ticket/43280
I will attend the WordPress Conference in Vienna in the next week and will ask them.
Sounds like a plan. From that Trac ticket, it looks like the milestone is 5.0 so we’ll most likely see this added in WordPress version 5.0.
