    Hi,

I like the look of this plugin and thought I’d try it based on the reviews. I have an issue with the Instagram Feed plugin by Smash Balloon. It seems to be running a faulty .js file and it keeps appearing in my GTMetrix results. Since I don’t need this on my forum I tried to select Instagram Feed and unticked Forums, Topics and Replies, purged my cache and ran it again. The .js file still appears.

I then tried to select Forum under the Singles drop-down and did the same thing, but it is still appearing.

Thinking perhaps the fact the URL in question is a virtual one created by BBPress and could be confusing things, I then created a custom front-end URL and unticked the Instagram Feed plugin once more. It’s still loading.

Any clues? I’ve included a screen shot of my cutsom URL.

    TIA.

OK, don’t worry about it. I think I’ve figured this out.

    Hi @demonboy

thank you for the information. I’m happy you’ve figured it out.

Is there something in the plugin that was not working as expected? Or something that was not clear and now it is? Just to understand if I have to correct or improve something in the plugin.

I know in the beginning some users have problems with the padlock, was that also your case?

No, I was being an idiot. I was trying to turn off a plugin that I thought was causing a dodgy JS file to run. Because the JS file related to Instagram I thought it was an Instagram plugin. Turns out it had nothing to do with the plugin and was some erroneous stand-alone code.

In a nutshell, nothing to do with your plugin! I only installed your plugin to troubleshoot this error but now that I have it installed I’ll have a play with it and see how it impacts the page load times on other areas of my website.

Thanks for getting back to me, it’s much appreciated.
