Hello, I am having problems with the inclusion of class with the course in progress. It turns out that in the course that already has students enrolled and who are taking courses, in this course I need to add a final class that is nothing more than a way of knowing what the student thought of the course. The form is just a google link. It turns out that some students will not finish the course because whenever I add their percentage of completion it is 98% I understand that this will happen to those who have already finished the course, and it is clear that adding a new “class” to evolution tends to come back, but whoever is with the course in progress is reporting the problem, and whenever I need to complete a lesson manual. Is there any method I can do? Any other alternative? Because I need to include this additional class in these courses, as I have many students enrolled and I need to include it.

  • Hi @tiicaa ,

Would you let us know step by step how you’re adding the class? That will enable us to set it up on our test site and test it correctly.

Also, when you say ‘class’, do you mean lesson, or something else?

    Best,
    Cena

    Hello @cena , I mean lesson.
    the step by step is:
Register a course, assign a module and start registering as classes.
In the last class, I inserted the embed of the google form in the description.
As the form is in a lesson, it is normal to see a “Complete lesson” button that the user is clicking on but is not actually completing a lesson, its status is 98%, in which case I need to enter the settings and complete the lesson manually so that he can get the certificate. I happen to have a lot of users complaining about it and this manual work is increasing a lot. The last lesson is created along with the course publication.

    Hi,

Apologies for the late reply. Had you found a solution already?

I copied this directly from our documentation:

Once your course is published and people have started taking it, we recommend against making major changes such as adding or removing lessons, editing quizzes, etc. Doing so will affect the grades and completion status of learners who are already taking (or have already completed) the course. Minor text edits are fine, but anything that will affect the overall completion status should be avoided.

If you decide that your course needs a refresh with new lessons or more quizzes, the best solution would be to either create a new version of the course from scratch, or duplicate the existing course and make the required updates before publishing.

Have you considered adding a quiz to the last lesson instead of adding a new lesson to find out how they enjoyed the course? I haven’t tested it, but it might work. Otherwise, I think you’d need to duplicate the course.
