I can’t figure out which drop-down list. This one?

Ah… I think I understand… If you edit it, the translation tab is empty.

I did mean that dropdown, yes. That was the initial problem, right? That it was not showing the correct language in those dropdowns?
Can you give me an example of an incorrect one now?
After I publish the English translation, a new row is created in Manage under Courses and Cuisines (let’s say Appetizers and Mexican cuisine). Duplicates with a value of 1.
I manually delete these rows and return to editing the translated recipe. I enter new values for Courses and Cuisines. And this time they are saved perfectly to the previous ones.
Next, I go to Manage in Keywords, where keywords from the recipe with zero values are created, and delete them. Keywords with zero values are created only after the second editing of the recipe.
I perform this procedure after each translation. This is what my suffering looks like.

Instead of deleting, can you send me a screenshot of what these duplicates look like in the classic UI? What is the difference between then?
Duplicates in Courses and Cuisines.

After I delete the duplicate Courses and Cuisines and re-enter them in the recipe card, empty duplicate keywords are created, which I delete.

I do this with every recipe I translate.

Sure but what are you seeing in the classic ui? The new “Taxonomies” menu that we enabled.
And can we please move this to email by reaching out to [email protected] directly? It’s so much easier for me to handle support in our regular support system, instead of this forum.
You’ll also be able to simply attach screenshots.
I don’t understand what I’m supposed to see there and where I should look. Everything there is the same as in Manage.
Okay, forget it. I won’t take up your time. I’ll just repeat this deletion procedure with each translation.

On that page you can see the language that is associated with the term. So I am trying to figure out if it’s not really a duplicate, but just a different term because it’s linked to a different language.
You are not taking up my time. I want to fix this problem. I am just trying to figure out what’s going wrong specifically.
And if you don’t want to continue the conversation: do you actually need to do that deletion? What problem does the duplicate cause you? Why not just let the duplicate exist?
I agree that duplications should not happen and want to figure out why, but if it’s not actually causing a problem I wouldn’t bother with all those extra steps until we’re able to fix it.
Is there a reason you don’t want to do this via email, by the way?
I’ll send an email right now.

Thanks for further debugging this through email. If others are experiencing the same problem: as of version 10.2.1, terms should now automatically get created in the same as the recipe language (which for recipes is the current language selected in the admin bar by default).
Thanks for putting together this plugin. I’ve just installed the free version of Polylang. Most features are working correctly; however, I am experiencing an issue with the Translations menu, as there is no option to add new entries and the checkboxes are grayed out.
I have already cleared the cache, tried different browsers, and tested the plugin with another theme, but the issue persists. I am using WPBakery… not Elementor or Oxygen. These are mainly the troubleshooting steps suggested on other sites, but the issue remains.
Has anyone encountered this issue before or have any suggestions?

Hi @rolorivas,
This seems to be a question about the Polylang plugin? You are currently in the forum for WP Recipe Maker support. You can reach Polylang here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/polylang/
In any case, you should always open your own support thread, if you are experiencing issues. You are not having the same problem as the thread you’ve posted in.
Kind regards,
Brecht
