    Hello,

I am trying to get my site indexed on search engines. However, I try to uncheck the box in ‘Settings-Reading’ that says ‘Discourage search engines from indexing this site’ but is grayed out, and remains checked.

I’ve already uploaded a robots.txt to my root directory and the search engines can fetch my pages, but they cannot index the URL.

I’m using Yoast SEO, and it says that the site is being prevented from being indexed. I’ve disabled this plugin to see if that might work, but it still doesn’t.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I just fixed the problem by renaming my mu-plugins folder in /wp-content directory. After renaming the folder, the ‘Discourage search engines from indexing this site’ grayed out box was no longer gray, in my ‘Settings->Reading’, and I could uncheck it. Subsequently, I can now index all my pages in all major search engines.
