Hi after updating your theme the server has a very high load. Reason is the wp_astra_theme_db_migration requests. I use free and pro version.

  • I concur. I’ve applied the update on two sites, one with astra-addon and one without, and both sites went into a tailspin. The sites still worked, but they were slow and the access log filled with repeated POSTs to action=wp_astra_theme_db_migration&nonce…

It’s also not possible to stop it. After restarting the php-fpm process the high loads starts again and the backend is not usable. A rollback to the old versions does not help.

I found that rolling back to version 3.7.7 and then restarting php8.0-fpm fixed the issue.

Nothing is working, 100% cpu usage and backend is not usable.

Looks like there’s a new build just been shipped, 3.7.9. I’ve tried it on two sites and it looks much better.

    Phew

Very good job. Now i have 100% database usage. Astra is unfortunately no longer what it used to be. Almost all recent updates caused major problems on my pages.

Happening still. Site keeps going down, hitting the resource wall on the highest plan. Hosts says “we have seen quite a few requests in the logs related to the following task wp_astra_theme_db_migration at and around the outage. We can also see that the theme itself has thrown over 2700 slow logs (this is where a process or task takes longer than a few seconds to complete).`

    Hi @digriz01,

I have responded to your comment on the other thread.

    Kind regards,
    Herman 🙂
