Problems with WPML multiple domains

    Hi,
    I am using WPML and have several domains: mydomain.com and mydomain.co.uk. I set those in the WPML settings.
    If somebody commends/subscribes on the “main” domain (which is declared in the WP settings) it works perfectly. But on one of the other domains commenting or subscribing is not possible at all and I only get errors like this:

    ERROR: Sorry, there was an error. Please be sure JavaScript and Cookies are enabled in your browser and try again.

    I tried several browsers but it doesn’t work. Do you have any ideas how I can solve this? Thank you

    I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re having and I’ll be happy to help.

    Please take a few minutes to work through the Troubleshooting Guide and FAQs, as these solve 90% of issues users have.

    Please take special note of Troubleshooting Step 10 as it specifically addresses the issue you are talking about. As mentioned in the documentation, you cannot use multiple domains for a site and have WP-SpamShield work properly, because of the security verification process. In general it is not a good idea to use multiple domains to access a site, as it causes a number of functional issues as well as damaging your SEO.

    Feel free to head over to the WP-SpamShield Support Form, and take a moment to fill out a support request. That will allow us to take care of this as quickly as possible for you (and anyone else who is experiencing the same issue).

    Hi Scott,
    I read the Troubleshooting Guide and FAQ, but this din’t solve my problem: I can only define one domain in the WordPress configuration options, but users should comment from both domains, because they are in different languages. The content of both sites may completely different.

    Is there a hotfix how users can comment from both domains?

    Hi Scott,
    i submitted a support request several days ago. I would be very thankful if you can notify me, if this functionality gets enabled (now I have to use Askimet but I don’t like it, because it lets spam into the databse).
