Process/Usability Enhancement

Hi Jeff and others,
I have been using TML for a while and it works great (even with supersocializer, btw). I am just checking the usability of my website to see if I can enhance it and I discover sth about TML. The Login process is as follows:

1. Inscription/Registration Page (form with username and email)
2. Confirmation Page (“an email has been sent, please confirm your email address to continue”)
3. Activation email with link to click on
4. Connexion Page (login form)

One of my usability concerns is that the page with the confirmation message (n°2) also includes the login form which is
– useless as the user won’t be up to login as long as he hasnt clicked on the email link and as he will anyway open another page doing so
– misleading as if the user don’t read the small § included on the page, he will try to login through form with the username and password he has chosen previously.

My second concern is that I d like to add a sort of “path” showing the steps of the login process but I dont know where or how I could do it without adding various one special template for each step…

But maybe I am wrong and I just misconfigured the plugin…
