Hi there, I’ve got hundreds of attribute pages on my website and was wondering if these should be indexed. These pages have no custom text, and only feature some of the products. Some repeated.
Please can you advise if these should be noindex?
Otherwise, I guess I would have to add meta description for all?
    Thanks

    Hello Fiona,

Thanks for your question about product attributes.

If you want to do not want them indexed, you can add noindex tag to them in WordPress > Yoast SEO > Search Appearance > Taxonomies.

I hope that points you in the right direction!

    Thanks Maybellyne,

Would you recommend noindexing the taxanomies?

@fiona92 If the page URLs of the taxonomies in question have little or thin content by themselves, typically it’s better to set those to noindex. This can vary depending on the site and the exact nature of the taxonomies though, so it’s not possible to give a definite answer that’s true for all.

Thanks a lot. It’s quite a lot of attribute terms. None of them actually have any text on. Just some Woocommerce products. An example would be attribute colour and terms: green, green-grey, green-yellow,… so I could have a few hundreds of these terms under the colour attribute.
