Product Categories
-
Hi folks,
Looking for some advice here. I have a WordPress/WooCommerce site and I am trying to get my head around the categories. I have a mega menu with the Vendors in my site as well as a comprehensive menu in the sidebar for all the categories and subcategories. My issue is this: in the megamenu at the top, the links are vendors only, which are sub-categories to the top level cat, Vendors. So, in my mind, in theory, when you click on one of these links, you should get all products assigned to the category Vendors > Vendor One etc. On my site, an example of what I mean and what I want to be happening is when you select McDSP in the Vendor menu. Even when you drill down, all the products are in the Vendor > McDSP> category. So this particular category works correctly. But, if you click on say BLUE CAT and then BLUE CAT ACOUFIEND, what you get is the correct product but in a different category (not under vendors). Seems very random and I do not see any difference in the way I set these up by comparison. Also, the same results happen when using the sidebar menu.
Scratching my head so hope someone has some insight for me.

I’ve tagged woocommerce on this thread. However, in the future your best bet would be to look at the threads here https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/woocommerce/ and if you can not find an answer in the existing threads you can post directly in their support area by going to the bottom of the page I linked to.
In the mean time here is more info about categories and tags from their documentation library: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/managing-product-taxonomies/
Hope this helps.
