Product categories selection broken

I have disabled all plugins and reverted to twenty twenty five. I also reinstalled wordpress and woocommerce.

I have quite many product categories with ID’s like 105, 1058, 1059 etc.

When adding new product and selecting the category with ID 105 javascript automatically selects also all other categories where ID is starting with 105. It also deselects them if I deselect category with ID 105.

If I disable javascript in browser’s dev tools this does not happen.

I understand the issue where selecting a category with ID 105 in the product editor also selects or deselects other categories with IDs starting with 105.

Could you provide screenshots or a video recording of the issue to help me understand it better?
This will allow me to replicate the behavior and assist you more effectively.
You may use a tool like awesomescreenshot.com to make a video.

Additionally, send me a copy of your site’s System Status Report.
You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
Select Get system report and then Copy for support.

Here is the Status report. I will look into sending screenshots or screen recording. Basically if I select a checkbox in the category selection, other checkboxes also get selected automatically in totally different places of the category tree.

Here I have a few screenshots.

Category 10558 that is initially unselected: https://d.pr/i/To4MCG
Then I select category 105: https://d.pr/i/psQbEz
And it automatically selects the category 10558 (+ also others): https://d.pr/i/3drmZz

I have this exact same issue, but i’m not using woocommerce I’m using easy digital downloads, it appears to be related to the latest wordpress update with the category selector JS. It’s the exact same issue, if I select category 123 it will auto select and other categories starting with 123.
