If I select “Fabrikant = Daas” and “Kleur = Rood”, I get no result: https://share.getcloudapp.com/5zuJ8NGv. But if I select “Kleur = Grijs”, it shows 1 product, which seems correct: https://share.getcloudapp.com/qGuD0J5g
It’s not the number of results, it’s the number in the search filters.
In your video you first select ‘Daas’ which results in one product.
Then, at 0:07 you open the ‘kleur’ filter and it says there are 4 products for kleur=rood.
Although it is true that there are 4 products ‘rood’ products in the entire catalog, there are no 4 ‘rood’ products for Daas, they have none, so the 4 indication is kind of misleading.
I believe the counts in the product filter should take already selected filters into account. In this example, if you have filtered on ‘Fabrikant=Daas’, the Kleur filter should read:
Grijs(1) Rood(0) Wit(0) Zwart(0)
Do you understand what I mean?
Thanks
JP
The product count no longer showing now: https://share.getcloudapp.com/BluNwbDN
They do if you open the filter drop downs
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1F8fzmsqBKsAr8m1QylYs4BOicpmiYhod
– Open the ‘Fabrikant’ dropdown
– You see ‘Daas’ has only 1 product, select this option
– Now open the ‘Kleur’ dropdown
– You see Grijs=2, Rood=4, Wit=3, Zwart=2.
– These are the overall counts, but I believe they should reflect the count within the currently active filter (which is Grijs=2 and all others 0)
Oh, you were referring to this product count: https://share.getcloudapp.com/wbuklvg6? Those product counts only represent the total products within that category. It doesn’t detect the selected product filter and update the count.
Yes that one.
The current overall count doesn’t make sense if you already have an active filter. Can you register this as a feature request then?
Thanks
JP
Will check with the team. Don’t think it is a simple task as every time an user select a filter, it needs to check the product counts of all categories/tags.
