Product Importer problem after plugin and database update

    Hello!

    For already 2 years each day I have uploaded a CSV file from the WooCommerce Product Importer, that updated all our product’s availabilities and prices. (Each variable product’s size was a separate position in the file – about 15000 positions). Usually the upload time of the file, which was about 340 KB, was 10-15 minutes, in worst case when the server was too busy – 30 minutes.

    4 days ago I updated the plugin and the WooCommerce database, as usual, the plugin asked me to do that. I have updated the database many times before, but this is the first time something went wrong.

    Now it takes more than 20 hours for the file to be uploaded, and that makes no sense for us, because we need to upload the information each day. I tried to split it into smaller parts, but each part is taking again many hours, apparently there is a problem. From server level, the memory limit it not passed, everything looks fine there in terms of ressources.

    From WooCommerce Status-Instruments – I emptited the transients, cache objects, I also tried to regenarete the products data table for search products, but it took many hours and just didn’t get to the end (I couldn’t see the progress) However, I started receiving HUNDREDS of emails about the current availability status of EACH product on the website.

    I despertly need to fix this issue, stop receiving these emails and make the importer do its job again for half an hour. I am sure there is a problem somewhere in the database, please help me!

    Hello. I’m having the same problem.

    I temporarily had to go back to version 9.2.2 to be able to continue updating my lists.

    Thank you for contacting Woo support.

    I understand the urgency of the situation.
    It sounds like the issue began after updating the plugin and the WooCommerce database.
    The hundreds of emails you mentioned could be contributing to the problem.

    As a troubleshooting step, try rolling back to the previous version of WooCommerce (9.2.2) to see if it resolves the problem. You can use the WP Rollback plugin to safely revert to the previous version.
