Is the search powered by Relevanssi? Do the results match what the Relevanssi admin search (Dashboard > Admin search) shows?
It looks you might have the default operator set to OR, but would prefer for it to be AND.
https://snipboard.io/qXIpg4.jpg
yes but if i will change OR in AND the searching for others times will not find items.
But it must be find this items, in title is this words and in searching too, why can’t the search find it?
For Test i changed from OR in AND.
But: the priorety is false

Nothing find, but if i write 100% same title than find 😀 something is wrong.

that is not normal…
Please show me a screenshot of the Relevanssi admin search (Dashboard > Admin search, not your regular WP admin search) results for “dnka ultrabond”. I have a feeling something may be overriding the order of the results, and the results are not in the order of relevance. Does the “DNKa Ultrabond” product have the highest relevance score, and are the results ordered in descending order of relevance? You’ll see that clearly from the Relevanssi admin search.
aaa ok, example search
- dnka ultrabond – https://snipboard.io/QCyPe2.jpg (ok) https://snipboard.io/Hz41fA.jpg (false)
- dnka top no -> https://snipboard.io/QsqeEP.jpg (false) https://snipboard.io/aWKuXZ.jpg (same)
- dnka top no wipe -> https://snipboard.io/ZzrQTV.jpg (ok) https://snipboard.io/v74hie.jpg (same)
- fox top no -> https://snipboard.io/KjYOsH.jpg (false) https://snipboard.io/P0dUx2.jpg (same)
- fox top no wipe -> https://snipboard.io/tlERP6.jpg (ok) https://snipboard.io/oiXTIW.jpg (same)
The “dnka top no” and “fox top no” don’t work well, because “no” is a two-letter word and Relevanssi ignores words less than three letters by default. You can adjust that from the advanced indexing settings. Also check that “top” isn’t a stop word. It’s also possible “top” is such a generic word that it just doesn’t work well because of that.
I’d increase the title weight a lot.
In any case, it’s clear that your front-end search either isn’t Relevanssi or something overrides the search order.
ok, “top” is not in stop words. About 2 two-letter is it possible that the search starts from 3 letters, but in the middle the words “no” or similar are also searched? Because I don’t want to do the complete search from 2 letters.
I am usinng Theme woodmart: https://snipboard.io/u0Q8Xs.jpg
I don’t think you need the “no” in the search; searching for “dnka top wipe” returns a good enough result set. It seems to work reasonably now: the “DNKa Top No Wipe” products are first, followed by the other products that only mention “DNKa Top No Wipe” in the description.
The original “Joia polish” search also seems to work well now, as it shows the JOIA Gel Nail Polish products first, including the 157 you complained about. Did you increase the title weight?
Ok, yes the title weight is increased. Only one problem with point 1, more test i dont to for find next problems :D.
dnka ultrabond – https://snipboard.io/QCyPe2.jpg (ok) https://snipboard.io/Hz41fA.jpg (false)
I don’t know why that doesn’t work. None of the sorting options on your search page work, they all provide the same results. I can’t tell why that is happening.
hmmmm, no idea what i can do ? 😀
Debug the search process to see how and where the good Relevanssi results are changed to the wrong results in front-end template. Dig through the templates in your theme and see where that change happens.
If this seems complicated, I recommend hiring a WP developer to look at this for you.
