Product Variable Images Field Empty

When I enter a URL into the product image url and gallery image url under variable product, it goes blank when I save it. It just seems to reject the url. I found that you had a toggle option for posts and pages where images do not show up. I turned them on and it did not work. I even tried different urls just in case there was a problem with the first one, but that was not the answer.

I could really use some help.

EDIT: I was reading some things on the plugin pages and it is unclear as to whether this is a paid or free feature. Either way, there are fields for those URLs and there is no indication that it is not part of the free version. Either way, I see that there is mention of WooCommerce Additional Variation Images, so I installed that and there is no change. I put the url in, save it and when I look, it is gone. It just disappears once I hit save.
