Hey there @neg0! You can use the plugin on live websites, if that’s what you’re worried about. Can you explain a bit more what you’re worrying about?

Hi @imazed ,
I’m asking because on github you display this warning “This project is in active development, and is not ready for general use. You can follow the features in development by looking at the project’s issues. We do not recommend running this on production sites.”
Hello @neg0,
We definitely need to better craft this message – sorry for any confusion.
At a high level, this is what we’re trying to convey:
- The
master branch on Github may be unstable and is not recommended to be run on live stores.
- The plugin as released here on ww.wp.xz.cn should be stable, but is still under active development (more frequently than WooCommerce core) and may contain the occasional bug. Be sure to follow the changelog, and use at your own discretion.
- Like Gutenberg and WordPress, this plugin’s features will be merged into WooCommerce core where it will only change during core WooCommerce releases.
I would test the WooCommerce Admin featured plugin on a staging site before deploying to a production site without testing.
Agreed with Luke – testing on a staging site is always a good
idea!
