Hi, I’m using the following shortcode to display the topmost 4 products on my Home page:

    [products limit="4" columns="4" orderby="menu_order"]

At first it works alright. Then I go to the Sorting page and drag and drop products around, changing their menu order.

That change immediately shows on my Shop page, but the shortcode on Home page still displays the old order. Even if I delete the shortcode and add it again, it still shows the outdated order.

Now, after much tinkering, I found out that just by going to a product editing page and clicking ‘Update’, the shortcode will display the updated order.

It sounds to me as if the shorcode’s result is cached and only purged when a product is manually updated, and not by the Sorting page, even though Sorting sets the correct menu order for all products (confirmed by looking into each product’s page and the Shop page).

I don’t use any caching for WP. I use Cloudflare but makes no difference with this issue.

This is more of a report than a ticket, since the workaround literally takes 2 clicks, but I thought I’d share anyway. Thanks.
