Profile data issue (again) with ML version

    Hi,
    some days ago I opened a ticket for “Profile data issue”:

    I added some fields to profile module (es. name, email, mobile number, country).

    when I select another user profile from member list to see his details, I still get details of the user I’m logged with.

    It came out that it depended from plugin “Stories for UM” by Suiteplugins, you suggested me to disable cache from UM settings and everything went OK.

    Now I had to switch to UM Multilingual version 2.2.5 downladed from github, because my enviroment needs a 3 langages translation, and the same issue came out again, (when I go to another member’s profile I get data for profile I logged in with) and now neither disabling UM cache works out.

    Is there anything else I can try?

    Thanks for clarifying!

    1. As for the cache, I saw that there was a solution to disable UM Cache for the users. But please check that you don’t use any cache through the server or 3rd-party cache plugins.

    2. UM Multilingual version 2.2.5 can be outdated for now and using it, for now, can be not secure. We are working on v3 which will be fully integrated with the most popular multilanguage plugins, but it’s only in alpha and not ready for use yet.

    Can you provide the information on what do you need to make multilingual supported with the current 2.5.1? I’ll try to help you with that.

    I set up a Member Area for users speaking Italian, Spanish and English, where they can find each other and share their infos, and stories from their journeys, if you wanna take a look I can send you login credentials for my site….

    If there is possible to register on your site it’s ok, but please don’t share the login credentials https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/guidelines/#the-bad-stuff I have no right to violate forum rules.

    I can register as a regular subscriber user on your website and check the profile page. Just share your site homepage.

    Let me know also what information you need to translate on the users’ profiles.
    Some screenshots are welcome.

    If we solve this issue I guess it will be helpful for the community until the 3.0 version is released.

    Surely yes, I can’t wait to see v. 3 in action because I think UM is really great!

    Besides, If you could help me to make 2.5 version work in those 3 languages, maybe I could get solved other issues I’m having too…..

    At first look, all works properly displayed in the different languages. I can properly see my profile in 3 languages and also can see, for example, the profile for this user:

    Field titles are different on the profile forms, data is populated from DB and somewhere translated (e.g. date format).

    Could you let me know where you have the issues or some difficulties? Maybe screenshots or screencasts will be great.

    Sure….translation is working fine because I’m running v 2.2.5 now, with v.2.5 I had some translation issues…

    Anyway, I’m facing 3 major issues now:

    1) can’t use “Stories for UM” so my users can’t upload their experiences

    2) some Countries are not displayed in translated Members Lists; I already opened a ticket about this:

    3) when I logout I always get redirected to Italian home page, even if I was browsing in Spanish or English

    forget about issue #1, I definitely leaved “Stories for UM” and I’m going to purchase “Social Activity” and “Groups” extensions in the next future..

    I need to be on line with my site on Wednesday 3, so if you could help me with the other 2 issues before I get users’ registrations it will be great!!!

    About your caching issue, your pages are sent from aruba-proxy
    and the server-name ipvsproxy229.ad.aruba.it
    which probably is being used for load balancing.

    actually I don’t know how to act if it’s a provider’s issue, I double checked every chaching option and it’s disabled.

    But never mind, I’m not going to use “Stories for UM” and, as I told you, I’m going to buy “Social Activity” and “Groups” extensions as soon as I can, let’s hope they will not suffer from the same issue….

    Now it would be very important for me to solve the other 2 issues, do you think there is something I can try?
