Profile not selected

    I installed the plugin, connected to LinkedIn and selected a company page as profile (selection is visible).

    At posting a blog post, nothing happens. If I try to send manually I get:
    Not shared Share now – We tried to send the post but no profile is selected for this post.

    I tried

    • with personal profile and company profile.
    • I deleted all options (with link from help-site) and reconfigured. Same result.
    • Any ideas?

    Hi @lkjoiuasdfmnbvvcx,

    On the post edit page, do you have a profile activated? So check out this image here for example: https://ps.w.org/wp-linkedin-auto-publish/assets/screenshot-5.jpg?rev=1876943 see how next to one of the profiles “Martin Gibson” it has a tick next to it, this means it’s activated and ready to share. Do you have at least one profile ticked? If not, please tick at least one profile and then share. You can change the defaults for this in the plugin settings as well in the “Sharing Options” tab.

    That solved it. What I don’t understand: Why wasn’t it “pre-selected”? becaus in the options the default was set. May I propose to add a line in the FAQ that the profile should be selected in every article?

    Ah… now I beginn to understand. I think I would just skip the “profile selection” step in the options and offer all profiles to post to. Then it is clear that you have to click the one/ones you actually want to publish to.
