    I have a BuddyPress community under WordPress of course. But I want the sign up to be progressive so it will look more like an app, and more robust. But I don’t know how to replace WP registration with the sample I have in codepen.

    Setup your page by making a custom page template. Add a WP page based on this template in order to have a permalink to use. There’s no need for page content if your template handles everything. Then setup some redirect/rewrites so registration requests go to this page.

    If the way forward is still unclear, locate a custom registration plugin and see how they did it 🙂
