Property Type Hiearchy

    Hi,

    First I want to thank you for this great plug-in. I can’t believe it’s free :-O Thank you very much.

    I would like to ask about the property hiearchy. There is a check box next to the property type ‘supports hiearchy’, but I don’t know where to set it.

    I want to set these types of property:

    1) Real estate
    a) – House
    b) – Flat
    c) – Land
    2) Movable
    a) Car
    b) Motorcycle

    Is it possible please?

    Hello.

    Yes, that is possible. You can just add all types in Developer tab. Then you will need to use Falls Under option on edit/create property page. So you will just assign particular property with property type house to real estate.

    Hi Maria again,

    I tried to do what you said, but I’m not sure how to do that. I wanted to create a house and the house will be type 1a (according to my previous question). So I will create a new house of type house (1a), but I can’t set Real Estate type (1) as Falls Under, because it wants me to type a specific real estate of type Real Estate (1). But I want to create a new house that will be of type Real Estate as well as House (because house is a real estate).

    I hope you got my point

    So you need to have 2 properties – 1 with type real estate type and one with house type and then you will be able to assign one to another.

    Hi

    Have the same problem, and have the Terms addon innstalled…
    how to set up like:
    Country -> Spain or Turkey
    if one of those ar choosen;
    Area -> only option relative to Spain/Turkey
    City -> only option relative to selected “Area”
    any pointers?
    have been looking throug the forum, google, youtube etc…but getting nowehere

    Hello.

    There is no option to set up dynamic fields as you described, but you could set up three level search using hierarchical terms, something like this

    first level
 second level
   third level
   third level
   third level
 second level
   third level
   third level
   third level
