Hi there, I think that the background opacity is set to zero – so it seems that the problem is aligning the banner image to the top of the page – I have set the top padding to zero – but it has not moved the image to the top of the page…
Dear Support,
I think I solved the problem by changing the top margin to -130px (not sure if that is the best practice, but it got the job done 🙂
All my best
Eunice
Hi there,
sorry for the big delay 🙂
To achieve the same layout of the Classic Shop demo you can create a slider with a background image (using our free YITH Slider for Page Builders plugin) and set it as header slider of the homepage. If the slider has a background it automatically sets the header to transparent.

Anyway your css trick works too 🙂
Thank you so much Francesco, I will remember about the property for the slider for future use! Thank you for getting back to me anyway – YOU ROCK!

Dear Francesco,
I took your advice and tried the Page slider plugin. But I am having a problem where I am unable to edit the slider block after it is inserted on the page. It is an uneditable block. I have installed Gutenberg. I do not see any docs on the yith site about how to edit the slider block?
Hi there, the block is a shortcut to link the slider. If you need to edit it, you can find it in Dashboard > Sliders

Please let me know if you need further help on this
Thank you for the reply, and sorry for being a bit stupid here. I want to edit the slider to add text in columns as explained in the document, but there are no options to add text in the section where you have detailed (creating the slider), so I assumed that we had to do it in the page editor. How can I add an overlay with text, or buttons to the slider please? I also want to create the same effect as per the Proteo demo where the slider is behind the menu, but there is no setting to have zero margin/padding at the top. Please help?
Thank you so much for your time 🙂
Dear Francesco, I figured out how to edit the slider – thank you! One needs to hover over the slide in Manage slides and select Edit 🙂
Have a fabulous day
