Publicize not working properly…again

I know I know. It’s Facebook’s fault. But after several months of almost flawless functionality between Publicize and Facebook, the connection has stopped working as of this morning. No changes on our end whatsoever. The wrong images are being shown on Facebook. The feature images are not appearing. Random ads that appear on the article page are appearing. Yes, the feature pics are 400×320, so they are sized properly. http://www.auburnmassdaily.com. https://www.facebook.com/auburnmassdaily?ref=tn_tnmn

It would be great if this wouldn’t happen every 2-3 months….

Interestingly, if I go back to any prior posts, before those that went in the last 18 hours, I can manually share to Facebook, and the correct image shows. It is only posts from between 10pm last night and 6am today.

Looking at your most recent post, I don’t really understand what’s causing the issue:
- The post includes all the tags Facebook requires to build a post preview: http://i.wpne.ws/ZHr0
- When looking at that post in Facebook Debugger, I get an error telling me that there is no og:url tag for that post, although we’ve seen above that the post does include the tag: http://i.wpne.ws/ZIAi
- On that same debugger page, Facebook shows us that Facebook previews include the Featured Image: http://i.wpne.ws/ZILE
- Yet when looking at the post on Facebook, it doesn’t include an image: http://i.wpne.ws/ZIHj
- When I try to share that post on my timeline, it doesn’t include anything: no image, no description.
- You mention that you don’t have that last issue on your end.
I know you don’t like to hear that from me every 2-3 months, but I’m afraid I can’t help you there. Facebook has all the information it needs according to its “Sharing Best Practices” page, and yet it provides 4 different results for that one page.

I don’t see any recent issues in Facebook’s platform status page, so at this point I’m afraid I can only direct you to Facebook’s bug report tool:
