Publicize can only be used with newly published posts, so if you want to post to one of your Social Network profiles when the posts is already published, you will have to use the sharing buttons at the bottom of your post, or share the post URL manually.

Since Publicize is an automatic tool, firing when a post status changes from draft to published, we haven’t included any manual sharing or reposting features.
Other plugins allow you to do just that though, and will automatically pick one of your old posts and republish them to your favorite social network. Tweet Old Post is a good example I think:
