    Hi

RE: Post Status, “Publish after x approved posts”.

I’ve looked through the documentation and I can’t find an explanation of how this is meant to work – but it’s not working as I expected it to work.

When I configure the settings and select Publish after X approved Posts, what is this supposed to do?

My expectation was that basically, a user would have to have x approved posts in order to be able to publish posts to the front end without needing admin approval. So, in the case of “Publish after 1 approved post”, the user’s first post would require approval, but after that there would be no restriction.

However, this is not the way it is working – I’ve approved user submissions, and the same user’s later submissions still require approval.

So what is this setting supposed to do? I’m struggling to figure it out, and it’s brushed over in the documentation.

    Thanks
    CMJS

I’ll have to take a look during the next plugin update. That particular feature gets into some fringe WP territory that frankly could use further development. However with Gutenberg block editor it may no longer be possible. So thanks for bringing it to my attention; will investigate and report back soon.

Hey @cmjs, I just tested this on latest WP and the feature works normally. Here is a quick video that shows how it works. If that is not happening on your site, most likely another plugin or theme or script or whatever is interfering. In such case, the best way to figure it out is to do some basic troubleshooting. I hope this helps, let me know if I can provide any further infos.
