Publish Event Directly

    I have users as contributers as I need to restrict the pages of the site they can access. However I want to be able to allow them to publish Events directly without them having to submit for review. I am struggling to do this without changing their status to authors which I do not want to do – suggestions gratefully received

    Hi,

    You can do that by going to Events > Settings > User Capabilities . Under contributor you need to select publish_events,
    publish_recurring_events and publish_locations (assuming you want users to be able to do all those things.
