• Hi Arno,

It looks like an old issue with EWWW Image Optimizer (ExactDN) is back. Images added via templates (not the editor) aren’t being picked up and are just linking to the source. The “pull” option you added fixed this before and it worked great for a long time, but after a recent update it stopped working again. I’m not sure if EWWW changed something or if the plugin’s behavior shifted. Would be great if you could look into this.

EDIT: It works with Version 4 so I’m using this for now.

The plugin did not change anything when it comes to CDN handling. There should also not be any difference between PhotoSwipe 4 and 5 since the CDN handling is done in the backend not in PhotoSwipe.

To check if there is a problem with the frontend, switch to PhotoSwipe 5 and then check the HTML source for data-lbwps-width in the image links. If these attributes are there, then the backend did fetch images correctly and there is an issue with the frontend. In this case, check the browser console: press [F12] and then look for the “Console” tab and see, if there are any error messages.

And just in case: the frontend scripts for PhotoSwipe 5 must not be “optimized” – this will usually break its function, since PhotoSwipe 5 uses modular scripts which must stay exactly as they are.
