Could you describe a little bit more what exactly happens when viewing it in German? What happens when you click the button?
Note: any issues that occur only when switching languages typically need to be reported to the WPML support team since their plugin is solely responsible for multi-language functionality.

Thank you for your reply.
Essentially, nothing happens when the “Purchase” or “Free Download” is clicked!! Clicking the button has no effect and neither is any error message thrown up.The page does not redirect to paypal and neither is any activity seen.
The English page correctly redirects to PayPal when the “Purchase” button is clicked.

I would have loved to give you the URL, but, as mentioned in my first post, I am developing the site on Xampp localhost on my local laptop.
Since it is on the local machine, what would you like me to do?
I did install EDD on a different WordPress installation on a local machine and I am facing the same situation there also. The “Purchase” button does not work on the German page of this installation also.
Please do advice.

Could you set it up on a live site where I can see it? It’ll be very difficult for me to troubleshoot without being able to see it.

My apologies for not responding earlier.
I wanted to share with you that I had contacted WPML support and they advised me to install the “EDD Multilingual” plugin. Apparently this is the glue plugin that makes EDD work with WPML.
The button appears to be working now.
