Purge Plugin advise needed

    Hi Yoast Team! I was affected by your version bug unfortunately which might have destroyed my photography business at least for next summer season.. but anyway.

    Before I found out about your purge plugin I first redirected about 1000 attachement URLs one by one to the related posts by 310 redirects. After that I took some nights to deindex many URLs via the google console.

    Now I understand that I have to remove the deindexed URLs so that the purge plugin can work correctly and deliver the 410 responses. My question is now. DO I HAVE TO REVERT THOSE 310 REDIRECTS or in other words, does the purge plugin tell google that the posts linked by attachments via 310s are a 410 ? Next.. the Link to the contact page (domain/contact) is also in the attachement section of the sitemap. It doesn’t belong there of course so how can I get it out of there so it doesn’t get purged ?

    And one other thing. In the german version under SEO / Darstellung der Suche / Medien … point “Medien und Anhang URLs” . If there ist chosen “NO” your text in YELLOW reads as follows:

    “Wenn du diese Option aktivierst, werden Anhang-URLs sowohl für deine Besucher, als auch für Google sichtbar. Um deiner Webseite zu nutzen, sollten sie daher nützliche Informationen enthalten, sie könnten sich sonst negativ auf das Ranking auswirken. Bitte überlege dies sorgfältig und lies diesen Beitrag, wenn du mehr Informationen über die Auswirkungen der Anzeige von Medien in den Suchergebnissen haben willst.”

    This is totaly misleading. Sorry! “If you activate this option” means setting it to “YES” (common sense) but its in fact setting it to “NO” which triggers the effect explained by your text in the yellow box. It should read “By activating this you can avoid …(same text) “. Or am I wrong here? Looking foward to your feedback! Best

    Please remove the redirects you manually added for the attachment pages.

    This is totaly misleading.
