Put a link in emails

Hello,

I’m using a custom page like a wrapper from a carrier..and what i want is to put an anchor text to the email sent to the customer..like : Your order has been picked up by [carrier_name] on [pickup_date]. Your track code is [track_code]. You can track you order in <a href="http://www.example.com/track-order">this page</a> i put the href inthe text box in admin panel but it didn’t work.
Any solution?
